Door designs
Because we manufacture these doors in our own factory we are not restricted to supplier design limitations. We can tailor them to your needs, please use our unique on-line French door designer. Side panels/lights will be manufactured separately to the doors including a free reinforced 15mm coupler for added strength.
Energy Efficiency (Approved Document L Compliant)
A new door from Modern UPVC Windows will make a real difference in the winter and help to reduce your home's energy bills, minimising heat loss.
On glazed doors the special coating on each pane reflects the heat back into the room. All our glass is filled with argon gas which is extremely effective in reducing heat loss as it's denser than air.
Our doors have high security built in. As standard an exceptionally strong Ingenious 5-point security lock with hookbolts and shootbolts that complies with PAS 23, PAS 24 standards and the police approved Secured by Design specification.
Our doors are internally beaded, the glass or panels can only be removed from the inside.

Low Threshold upgrade
Superb Stormguard™ aluminium low threshold, with or without wheelchair ramps. Non-slip surface ensures a safe grip in wet conditions. Thermally broken to meet thermal bridging and insulation requirements. Supplied with end caps.
Complies with Part M of the building regulations when used with the ramps.

Door profiles - Heritage 2800 profile
Our profile is made in Britain by Deceuninck, one of the leading profile extruders in the country. We use the Heritage 2800 profile with an attractive sculptured finish.

Where glass is specified the following energy efficient sealed glass units are supplied:
Inner pane – Pilkington KS
Outer pane – Pilkington Optiwhite
Gas filling – Argon Gas
Spacer bar – SuperSpacer
Thickness – 28mm or 40mm for triple glazing
U-value – from 0.70 to 1.22
Toughened glass is supplied in all areas except top lights to meet current building regulations (Approved Document N). All toughened glass is approved to Kitemark: BS 12150. In addition, you may also add Georgian bar, Square lead or Diamond lead decoration to your glass.
Triple glazing
For even higher energy efficiency, we also manufacture triple glazed doors.
Using the same advanced glass specification as our double glazed windows, with an extra pane of energy efficient
Pilkington KS glass, and a thinner glass bead without increasing the frame thickness while increasing the glass pane thickness to 40mm.
Colours
Our new Heritage 2800 door frames can be ordered in beautiful authentic 'wood like' finishes in an amazing array of 30 colours and combinations.

Flush French
The openers on these doors sit flush in the frame externally rather than standing proud, both inside and outside with the Heritage 2800 system. Their simple lines and proportions work well in more modern buildings too.
Security – PAS24
Our doors are highly secure with:
PAS24:2022 accreditation making them stronger against break-ins. PAS24 is required for new builds and extensions to comply with Document Q of Building Regulations. More information
Our locking system is an exceptionally strong Ingenious 5-point security lock with hookbolts that complies with PAS 24 standard. (see video)
Internal beads so the glass can only be removed from the inside.
Please note, to comply with PAS24, laminated or acoustic laminated glass must be fitted to all easily accessible doors, door side panels and windows that are adjacent to a door.

Panels
All of our door panels have MDF reinforcement to increase both energy efficiency and security.
Internal magnetic blinds
These internal Venetian blinds are permanently sealed inside the glass units, so no more cleaning or dangling cords. Operated at the side of the glass by a clever magnetic slider. A narrow rail ensures the linear movement of the slider. The blind is raised and lowered by simply moving the slider up or down and is tilted by slightly lifting or lowering the same slider. Available in 14 colours.
Comprehensive Guarantee
Frames: Heritage 2800 window and door frames whether in flat white or woodgrain/textured coloured laminated PVC-u are guaranteed for 10 years.
This warranty is in respect of colour stability, shape retention and impact strength retention. Sealed glass units: 10 years against condensation inside the unit. Moving hardware (locks, hinges, handles, etc): 1 year against failure in operation. Internal blinds: 5 years, 2 years for external mechanism. UPVC panels: 5 years. Astragal bars: 2 years.
