Integrated LED lightingDiscreet uplighting that highlights the lantern frame and transforms the room after dark. Depending on the lantern perimeter, one or two 10 metre prewired IP54 strips will be provided on a reel. In warm white 3000K colour. A matched IP20 LED driver is included. Remote control and wall switch not included. Easy installation: Adhesive-backed strips, pre-drilled roof for cable routing, with installation guide and diffusing lens supplied. Professional finish: The lens hides the strip when off and diffuses the light when on, creating a clean, even glow.
Upstand / BaseOptional upstands are available to simplify your installation: Cold roof (150mm): for when insulation sits at ceiling level and the roof void is ventilated. Warm roof (300mm): for when insulation extends to rooflight (above rafters). Warm roofs require extra upstand for continuous insulation and proper flashing. If firrings/packers are used, select an upstand 50mm taller (so 200mm or 350mm) to ensure the lantern sits above the deck.
Waterproofing is assumed to be 5 mm thick. If your membrane differs, leave a note at checkout with its thickness so the upstand can be adjusted. Always confirm the final roof build-up so the upstand remains at least 150 mm above the finished roof level. PAS24The new Korniche lantern has PAS 24 security built in as standard. Independently tested to resist forced entry, it features anti-deglazing, robust framing and fully closed seals, delivering serious protection without compromising the sleek look.
Glass safetyToughened safety glass is supplied as standard, or optionally a high-strength laminated glass.
Toughened: Specially treated to increase its strength and safety. Laminated: the strongest glass, similar to a car's windscreen, has a laminated layer that keeps the glass together when broken, making it very difficult to break into. Frame coloursEach roof lantern is precision manufactured to your bespoke sizes in a vast choice of colours. Most glazing options are Pilkington "self cleaning", certified to EN 1096-5, the new European Standard for self-cleaning glass. 
Decorative FinialsOptionally we provide decorative ball finials for that classic touch. Square roofs get 1 finial, while rectangular roofs get 2 finials, like in this photo:  Thermal upgradesThermal efficiency has been guaranteed by the elimination of cold bridging, this is achieved by the total isolation of the external aluminium profiles from the internal ones. When combined with high performance glazing, the Korniche's ability to reduce heat transfer is in a class of its own. Total roof u-values from just 1.2!
