We recommend adding a 25mm frame extender on the hinge side to provide sufficient clearance between the hinge and the internal plaster line. Frame extendersA frame extender increases the thickness of a door frame at a specified side. Great for properties with deep plaster, render or tiles over tiles. Some fitters buy extenders as a precaution, for example where the door opening has not been built yet. Extenders can be modified to accomodate inconsistent side walls. Extenders simply clip or slide on the door profile as you can see on the picture.
Example of extender sliding on: HingesYour door can have the hinges on the left or right, with the handle always positioned on the opposite side. For doors with a side panel, we recommend positioning the hinges on the wall side. Our adjustable Dynamic 2D hinges are designed to deliver a clean, flush-fitting look while also providing excellent strength, durability, and security. They are engineered for smooth, reliable operation, with simple lateral and vertical adjustment to help achieve accurate alignment and consistent gasket pressure.
